UPDATES FROM PHILIPPINE AIRLINES AS OF APRIL 23, 2021

Please refer below updates from Philippine Airlines:
1. MANDATORY PCR TEST FOR ALL INBOUND TRAVELERS TO DOHA
Effective Sunday, 25 April 2021 , Qatar Ministry of Public Health has mandated implementation that all inbound/returning travelers to Qatar, including those previously vaccinated or previously infected, must present a COVID-19 PCR test within 72 hours of arrival in Qatar at the country of origin in a medical center that their local ministry of health approved to offer/operate to do the PCR test for COVID-19. The PCR test result should be negative before they are allowed to board the aircraft to Qatar or enter Qatar through any ports of entry (HIA/Abu Samra land border/ seaport).

Kindly note that above travel requirement does not apply to transiting passengers in DOH. For transiting passengers kindly refer to the travel requirements of country of final destination.
2. ADVISORY ON SUSPENSION OF PASSENGER MOVEMENT INBOUND UAE FROM INDIA
Effective 24 April 2021, operation of all air services and/or inbound passenger movement to UAE from any point in the Republic of India is suspended. This will take effect for a period of ten (10) days, and may be extended for a further period if necessity arises.
This decision does not apply to the members of the diplomatic missions, UAE nationals and those passengers exempted and/or granted permission to enter UAE by the appropriate authorities.
Those exempted as stated shall on and after arrival shall comply with the following:
a. All inbound passengers shall be quarantined for ten (10) days from the date of arrival.
b. PCR tests has to be carried out upon arrival at the airport and on 4th and 8th day from the date of arrival
c. Ensure that every inbound passenger is holding a VALID Covid-19 Test certificate that is issued within the valid time frame, namely, 48 hours from the time of collecting the sample and scheduled flight departure. Also ensure that the time of sample collection – “Date & Time” and time of reporting “Result date and Result time” are accurate.
d. The PCR test reports shall be accepted only from a certified lab which use QR code.
In addition, please be advised that, this decision does not apply to freighter (cargo) operation, business flights and the outbound passengers from UAE. Airlines and/or private operators shall NOT accept any passenger(s) on board, if such passenger has travelled to and/or visited the Republic of India within fourteen (14) days prior to the entry in to the UAE and whose final destination is Dubai or in transit through Dubai, except for UAE Nationals who are returning to UAE.
