The Government of Canada is requiring all passengers five years of age or older to provide proof of a negative laboratory test result for COVID-19 before boarding international flights to Canada.
Please find following details below:1. Effective Date: January 6, 23:59 (EST)
2. Eligibility: All travelers aged 5 and over
3. Exemptions: Children 4 years old and younger (the ages between 0 to 4), crew members, and passengers who are making a connection without entering Canada
4. Requirements: Mandatory possession of a certificate of negative PCR test within 72 hours prior to departure for flights to Canada.
a. The test method must be PCR (PCR or RT-LAMP test method must be confirmed)
b. Antigen/Antibody test or other than PCR cannot be accepted.
c. The test must be conducted within 72 hours before departure time of JL018 (flight into Canada).
–Even if passenger have an INBOUND from a third country, it must be a negative test certificate tested within 72 hours prior to STD of flight JL018 (the flight to Canada).
5. The certificate of a negative result for COVID-19 PCR test must include:
a. the person’s name and date of birth
b. the name and civic address of the laboratory that administered the test
c. the date and time the specimen was collected
d. the test method used
e. the test results
Anyone who receives a negative test result and is authorized to enter Canada must still complete the full, mandatory 14-day quarantine.
