Davao City Tour

Davao, located on the southeastern part of Mindanao, which is strategically located in the Asia- Pacific rim, the city serves as a gateway to the world thus, making it the center of the region’s commerce, trade and services. The city is famous for Mount Apo, the highest peak in the Philippines, and its fruits production especially the exotic durian fruit.

This whole day tour will start with a visit at the Nieva’s Arts and Crafts where you’ll witness local pottery making with hand-painted native designs. Then, stop by at the Lon Wah Buddhist Temple which houses the white Italian marble Buddha and the Buddha with a thousand hands. Afterwards, head to Puentespina Garden, which features colorful flowers and highlights the waling-waling, the mother of all orchids. You can take your first whiff of the pungent smell or taste the exotic durian – the King of all fruits. Other tropical fruits that are famously grown in the province are the pomelo, marang, mangosteen, rambutan, lanzones and many others , earning Davao the nickname of “fruit basket “ of the Philippines. However, if you cannot take the smell of the real Durian, you may opt to try the equally tasty durian candy at the Minco Durian Candy Factory.

Another landmark that Davao has to offer is the unique architecture of the San Pedro Cathedral. The tour’s highlight is the Shrine of the Holy Infant Jesus located at the southern part the city. Then, take a short drive to Jack’s Ridge where you can get a splendid view of the city. An added attraction is a short visit at the Crocodile Park. Finally, stop to shop for best buys of Davao at the Aldevinco Shopping Center.
