Eva Airways is pleased to inform passengers that Taiwan Centers for Disease Control (CDC) directive order concerning imposing a transit ban in Taiwan has been lifted effective March 01, 2021.
Please be guided of the following reminders:
– Passengers who are transiting in Taiwan are required to present a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test result issued within 3 days before boarding.
– Transfers are only allowed between airlines within the Evergreen Group airlines (EVA / UNI Air). Transfer to and from flights operated by other airlines are currently not allowed. In the first phase, transfer to and from Mainland China is not permitted.
– The connection time between flights must be less than 8 hours on the same day.
– For entry requirements of final destination, please also make sure that passenger is eligible or not before the reservation.
– Passengers shall get onward boarding pass from the origin and have baggage through checked-in to final destination
– Passengers must wear mask throughout the entire journey, including in-flight, departure or transit/transfer and cooperate to do the temperature screening, hands sanitization and etc.
– Follow the instructions from our staff to board or disembark the plane. For the transit/transfer, please follow the ground staff to the boarding gate or stay at the designated transit/transfer area.
Central Epidemic Command Center also announced the entry restrictions of foreign visitors to Taiwan as follows:
– Non-Taiwanese nationals holding valid Taiwan residence permits (including foreign citizens, Hong Kong, Macao and Mainland China residents) are allowed to enter the country.
– Foreign nationals without Taiwan residence permit (except for sightseeing and general social visits) may apply a special entry permit to the Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA).
– People from Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macao

— Mainland China citizens: holders of residence permits, humanitarian considerations and emergency assistance (such as funerals, visits to critically ill relatives, etc.), spouses and minor children of Taiwanese nationals, students approved by the Ministry of Education, international medical personnel approved by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, and other special exemptions.
— Hong Kong and Macao citizens: holders of residence permits, humanitarian considerations and emergency assistance (such as funerals, visits to critically ill relatives, etc.), spouses and minor children of Taiwanese nationals, students approved by the Ministry of Education, international medical personnel approved by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, and other special exemptions.
Passengers must provide the following requirements prior to entering Taiwan:
1. Negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test report issued within three days of boarding.
2. Proof of the place for 14-day quarantine

– The place shall be a group quarantine facility or quarantine hotel.
– Those who choose to undergo quarantine at home shall make an affidavit to declare they have met the requirement of one person per residence.
