Turkey With Antalya

Day 1: ISTANBUL – ARRIVAL (D)
Arrival to Istanbul airport in the morning and meet with your guide. Start exploring Istanbul visiting the Ancient Hippodrome, which was one of the largest chariot race grounds of the Byzantine Empire. You will take a short walk to the Blue Mosque, also known as Mosque of Sultan Ahmet, which boasts a unique feature of 6 minarets. View its glorious interiors and distinctive blue tiles. Optional visit to the gallery of St. Sophia; a former Eastern Orthodox Church converted to a mosque. A must see attraction because of its religious and architectural significance. You will visit Topkapi Palace, once the seat of the Ottoman Empire. Presently it is a museum palace with a wide collection of porcelain, antiques, holy relics and other treasures. Explore ninety- two streets of the famous Grand Bazaar.
Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight at the hotel in Istanbul.

Day 2: ISTANBUL- BURSA – KUSADASI (B, D)
After breakfast drive to Bursa on the Osmangazi Bridge. Arriving Bursa visit the Ulucami, the finest example of grand mosque style has the biggest indoor space among all mosques in Turkey. Enjoy the best examples of 14th century calligraphy decorating interior walls.
You may have some free time at Turkish delight and delicatessen bazaar. After lunch continue to Kusadasi driving by Akhisar (Thyatira) Izmir and Selcuk.

Day 3: EPHESUS – PAMUKKALE (B, D)
After breakfast visit the House of Virgin Mary. You may attend the mass there. Proceed to Ephesus antique city. Stroll through Curers Street, Marble Street and Arcadian Avenue visiting the Odeon, the State Agora, Hadrian Temple, Celsius Library, Harbor Agora and the theatre. Late afternoon have some time for shopping, visit a local leather gallery and enjoy a fashion show.
Drive 3 hours to Pamukkale. Arriving Pamukkale, transfer to your hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel, enjoy the spa of the hotel this evening.

Day 4: PAMUKKALE – ANTALYA (B, D)
After breakfast enjoy a tour taking pictures of the cotton shaped white travertine and terraces of Pamukkale, the necropolis of Hierapolis and the Roman theatre.
In the afternoon depart for Antalya.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Antalya.

Day 5: ANTALYA (B, D)
Breakfast at the hotel. Full day excursion to the ancient city of Perge. Enjoy strolling through the gates, see the theatre and the Agora. Then drive to Aspendos, to visit the extraordinary remains of a Roman amphitheater. After lunch, return to Antalya for a visit to the Museum of Antalya, with its historical and archeological treasures. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Antalya.

Day 6: ANTALYA – KONYA – CAPPADOCIA (B, D)
Following an early breakfast, we will drive to Cappadocia via Konya.
Konya was the center of the Selcuk Empire as well as the city of Mevlana Rumi and his Whirling Dervishes. After visiting the Mevlana Museum, we will continue for Cappadocia. Arriving Cappadocia enjoy picture stops at the Valley of the Birds and at the foot of the Uchisar Castle and Avcılar valley.

Day 7: CAPPADOCIA (B, D)
An early start for an optional Hot Air Balloon Ride (one hour) which is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
After breakfast continue exploring the region. Visit the incredible Underground Cityv where early Christians lived secretly in order to survive and keep their faith. Afterwards proceed to the Goreme Valley to visit the rock carved churches hollowed out of volcanic ash. We also visit Avanos Village the famous local pottery and carpet shows allowing ample time for shopping in the afternoon. Also time will see a local jewelry center and see a Zultanite collection which is mined in the nearby region. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Cappadocia.

Day 8: CAPPADOCIA – ANKARA – ISTANBUL- (B, D)
After breakfast and check out and drive to Istanbul via Ankara; the capital city of Turkey. Visit The Mausoleum of Kemal Ataturk, the founder of Turkish Republic while passing through Ankara.
Arrival to Istanbul. Transfer to the airport for your return flight.
You may request to fly out from Cappadocia.
