MDTI-TA-2021-106
Date: 11 October 2021
Effective 6 October 2021, prevailing border measures for incoming travelers will be determined based on the individual’s recent travel history in the past 14 days, instead of 21 days. The travel history still includes transits en route to Singapore and time spent in Singapore prior to travel. The SHN period for those who currently have to serve 14 days, will also be reduced to 10 days, in line with the shortening of quarantine period.
Travelers from the Philippines must comply with category 4 requirements only:
– Pre-Departure RT-PCR Test within 48 hours of departure to Singapore;
– On Arrival PCR Test
– Corresponding 10-day Stay-Home Notice (SHN) upon arrival
– Antigen Rapid Test on day 3 and 7 of SHN**
– Day 10 SHN exit PCR Test
*The charges for 10-day SHN at dedicated SHN facility is $1,450
**Every traveler aged 3 and above (in the calendar year) who is serving SHN will have to pay $20 (inclusive of GST) for 2 ART kits. ART swabbing is required for travelers serving SHN at dedicated SHN facilities.
On the other hand, starting 01 November 2021, all work pass holders, their dependents, as well as student’s pass holders must be fully vaccinated before arriving in Singapore. However, long-term pass holders below 18 years old at the point of entry will be exempted from this requirement. Those between 12 and 18 years old, however, will have to complete the full vaccination regimen within two months after they arrive in Singapore.
For the full set of prevailing border measures for the different Categories and any changes to border measures, these will be updated on the SafeTravel website.
