Update Border Measures regarding Certificate of Testing for COVID-19
The Japanese Government announced that from 19 April 2021, Japan will conduct stricter check for Pre-departure COVID negative certificate (Certificate of Testing for COVID-19).
1. The Japanese government strongly requests using the official format for Certificate of Testing for COVID-19. Following this guideline, Japan Airlines highly recommend passengers to use the format in the link: https://www.mhlw.go.jp/content/000769784.pdf
2. The sample has to be Nasopharyngeal (swab/smear)/Nasopharynx or Saliva, for example, JAL CANNOT accept the combination of Oropharyngeal/Nasopharyngeal. Please request your laboratory or hospital not to collect the invalid sample type.
