TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS FOR MARINE PASSENGERS ARRIVING IN HONG KONG
Sea Crew (Seamen)
1) Certificate of Negative COVID-19 Test Lab Report — Sea Crew must have a negative SARS-COV-2 nucleic acid test result from an ISO15189-accredited laboratory or a laboratory recognized by the Government where the laboratory is located with the specimen collected within 48 hours prior to boarding the flight to Hong Kong.
2) Shipping Company Letter — For Shipping Companies /Agents should declare on a letter of Certificate that the crew member concerned has tested negative for SARS-COV-2 via a nucleic acid test at an ISO15189-accredited laboratory or a laboratory recognised by the Government with the specimen collected within 48 hours prior to boarding the flight to Hong Kong. The letter should include an emergency local contact phone number for prompt contact with the concerned crew under emergency situation.
3) Hong Kong Marine Department’s Approval Letter — Sea crew is required to present Marine Department’s Approval Letter upon check-in. (As the shipping companies / agents shall submit the Estimated Time of Arrival and Estimated Time of Departure of vessel together with the details of the sign-on and sign-off crew to be changed (including their names and flight schedules) 72 hours prior arrival of the vessel for the Marine Department’s approval.
