Philippine Airlines is operating more weekly flights to Pagadian starting August 25 to accommodate more passengers bound for the capital city of Zamboanga del Sur.
From the current three times weekly services every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, PAL is adding flights on two more days, every Wednesday and Saturday, for an expanded total of five PAL flights a week from Manila to Pagadian and vice versa.
Flight PR 2783 departs Manila at 11:00 AM and arrives in Pagadian at 12:45 PM. The late morning departure time is more convenient for getting to the airport, while the noontime arrival gives passengers more travel time to reach their hometowns in Zamboanga del Sur beyond the Pagadian City area. Flight PR 2784 meanwhile leaves Pagadian at 1:25 PM and arrives in Manila at 3:05PM.
Additionally, PAL is gearing up for more flights to Cagayan de Oro, which will be served daily from Manila from its current four-times weekly schedule.
More recently, domestic flights to and from Manila were suspended for two weeks, from August 4 to 18, in line with the 15-day imposition of a modified enhanced community quarantine in the national capital region.
With the return of General Community Quarantine, PAL has also restored flights from Manila to Puerto Princesa, Cebu, Iloilo, Tacloban, Butuan, Dipolog, Ozamiz, Cotabato, Davao, General Santos, Zamboanga, Catarman, Dumaguete, Kalibo.
The Cebu hub will also be operating flights to Cagayan de Oro, Davao, Dipolog, Dumaguete, Tacloban and Zamboanga while the hub Clark will resume flights to Davao.
The following PAL flight will be re-routed to land in CEBU (Mactan Cebu International Airport – CEB) instead of in Manila, because of quarantine processing limitations at Manila airport. The rerouting to CEBU is necessary to avoid a full cancellation of your flight.
Flight PR 659 from Dubai on August 20 and 27 will operate as Dubai- Cebu, leaving Dubai at 9:45 PM and arriving in Cebu at 11:40 AM on August 21 & 28, respectively.
Flight PR 685 from Doha on August 20 and 27 will operate as Doha- Cebu, leaving Doha at 8:00 PM and arriving in Cebu at 11:00 AM on August 21 & 28, respectively.
Flight PR 683 from Dammam on August 21 and 28 will operate as Dammam- Cebu, leaving Dammam at 6:00 PM and arriving in Cebu at 9:15 AM on August 22 & 29, respectively.
ATTENTION – ALL MANILA-BOUND PASSENGERS: WHAT TO EXPECT
You will undergo the required COVID testing in Cebu rather than in Manila, and quarantine at a Cebu hotel accredited by the Philippine health and tourism authorities. Once you receive a negative test result (usually within 24 to 48 hours of the test), PAL will fly you from Cebu to Manila at no extra charge. Please note that the cost for the COVID tests and the quarantine hotel will be borne by the traveler, (except that, for Overseas Filipino Workers – OFWs, the government will shoulder the cost of tests and accommodation).
BOOK YOUR HOTEL IN ADVANCE
Please book your Cebu hotel accommodation prior to your departure. You may choose from this list of accredited hotels. For the updated list, please click on this link – https://bit.ly/347WT1x
PAL suggests that you book your hotel for at least two (2) nights, in line with the expected 24 to 48 hours processing time to receive the COVID test results. Please show a copy of your hotel reservation as you check in for your PAL flight to the Philippines.
