PAL wishes to alert you that the following flights will be re-routed to land in CEBU (Mactan Cebu International Airport – CEB ) instead of in Manila, because of quarantine processing limitations at Manila airport:

PR 103 departing Los Angeles (LAX) on June 25
— Your original PR103 flight has been re-routed to operate as PR5113 (Los Angeles to Cebu), departing LAX at 11:55 AM on June 26 (Friday) and arriving in CEB at 5:00 PM on June 27. The re-timing to a June 26 departure is to allow for required arrival spacing interval at Cebu airport; no change in arrival day (June 27).

ATTENTION – ALL MANILA-BOUND PASSENGERS: WHAT TO EXPECT
The rerouting to CEBU is necessary to avoid a full cancellation of your flight, as PAL avails of the newly established testing and quarantine facilities at Mactan Cebu. Passengers will undergo the required COVID testing in Cebu rather than in Manila, and quarantine at a Cebu hotel accredited by the Department of Health (DOH). Once you receive a negative test result (usually within 24 to 48 hours of the test), PAL will fly you from Cebu to Manila at no extra charge. Please note that the cost for the COVID tests and the quarantine hotel will be borne by the traveler, whether the tests and quarantine take place in Cebu or Manila.

BOOK YOUR HOTEL IN ADVANCE
Please book your Cebu hotel accommodation prior to your departure. You may choose from this list of DOH-accredited hotels. PAL suggest that you book your hotel for at least two (2) nights, in line with the expected 24 to 48 hours processing time to receive the COVID test results. Please show a copy of your hotel reservation as you check in for your PAL flight to the Philippines.

CEBU AIRPORT & PROVINCE ON GCQ STATUS
Mactan Island, the site of Mactan Cebu airport, is presently under a more relaxed GCQ or General Community Quarantine status. This includes the many hotels on Mactan Island that have been accredited by the Department of Health (DOH). Mandaue City and most of the Province of Cebu are likewise under GCQ status.

Only Cebu City proper has been classified under the stricter ECQ or Enhanced Community Quarantine status until the end of June. “Cebu City” refers only to the specific urban area within the central city limits, and does not include the other cities and municipalities of Metro Cebu (such as Mandaue, Danao, Lapu Lapu, Cordova, Carcar, etc.) that are classified as GCQ.

PAL is pleased to announce that the airline will be mounting three special “sweeper” flights between Manila and Bacolod on June 26, 29, and July 3, 2020.

Attention – Passengers of PR 212, Sydney to Manila on 27 June 2020:

PAL is pleased to confirm that your flight will be landing in Manila, as originally planned.

PR212 will depart from Sydney at 10:35H on June 27 and will arrive in Manila at 16:50H.

PAL will no longer pursue the fallback plan to re-route the flight to Cebu, which was an alternative if the authorities were unable to confirm the availability of the testing and quarantine facilities in Manila on that day.

AIR CANADA

Effective June 15, 2020, only transit services between Air Canada and the following airlines are possible at Hong Kong International Airport until further notice:

This is not an exhaustive list.

Connections between the above airlines and Air Canada should have the technical capability to comply with the following temporary requirements from the local authorities in Hong Kong:
– Flight segments must be on the same air ticket (Separate tickets are not allowed due to lack of check-in facilities in the transit area)
– Passengers must be checked through to the final destination at the first airport of the itinerary. Passengers must be issued with boarding passes of both the flight into Hong Kong, and also of the next connecting flight out of Hong Kong. Failure to do so may lead to denied boarding at the origin or deported back to the origin
– Baggage must be tagged through to the final destination.
– It is the passenger’s responsibility to ascertain in advance their eligibility to enter the destination country (i.e. The entry requirements for non-essential travel into Canada of all the foreign passport holders etc.)
– Maximum layover time is 24 hours
